Michał Barwicki

A graduate of law at the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin.

He specializes in the IT industry and new technologies perfectly moving on topics between law and IT. A multi-task specialist who feels good at working with both individual clients and enterprises. His special interest are also banking and payment services law, IT law and new technologies.

Experience

Mr Barwicki is experienced in providing comprehensive legal services to entities in the FinTech and new technologies industry. In his daily work, he is involved in providing legal services to a group of companies in the payment and banking services industry with global reach and reputation.

He negotiates and reviews payment institutions' agreements with their business partners, such as credit reference agencies, credit assessment support providers, financial intermediaries, IT service providers. He has advised on the process of recognition of payment services licenses by Polish supervisory authorities and on the establishment of a foreign bank branch in Poland.

He has extensive expertise in new technologies (in particular blockchain technology), cloud storage and artificial intelligence. He advises on the legal aspects of using these tools in the activities of entrepreneurs.
