Payment services in the EU - PSD3 draft

At the end of June 2023, a package of changes to the regulations governing the payments sector was published, consisting of the draft PSD3 Directive and the PSR Regulation, which legal adviser Michał Barwicki analyses on our blog.

Although the final shape of the regulations is not yet known, it is already clear that they will introduce a lot of changes for the payment sector, including the fintech industry in particular.

The main objectives of the changes are the development of the financial sector in the digital era, the strengthening of consumer protection, as well as the resolution of problems arising from the current PSD2 directive.

We encourage you to read the article 'PSD3 - a new approach to payment services in the European Union', as well as our full range of support in the area of payment services.
