Legal services for payment and credit service providers

We provide ongoing legal services in all areas of client activity in Poland.

Among others, we conduct such projects as:

  • representation in proceedings to register a branch of a credit institution in Poland;
  • supervision of the process of joining a credit institution to Polish payment systems, including SORBNET2;
  • drafting and ongoing updating of key legal documentation for payment and credit products;
  • advice on the structuring of products such as consumer credit, credit card, deferred payments (Buy Now, Pay Later, BNP), services dedicated to selected recipients (cryptocurrencies, savings, junior, business);
  • advice on the choice of the nature of the product, ensuring regulatory compliance while meeting the client’s business objectives;
  • audits of product procedures and schemes to ensure regulatory compliance;
  • audits of end-customer communication content and advertising and marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance;
  • advice on handling marketing processes – selecting appropriate marketing channels and messages; advice on data processing rules;
  • drafting changes to the credit institution’s credit offering, including processes and the so-called user journey, credit agreements, SECCI (information form) and other documentation, terms and conditions of product promotion;
  • advice on establishing a key relationship with a Polish bank for the provision of deposit services.

Representation in proceedings to obtain a license to provide payment services as a national payment institution (NPI)

As part of our ongoing cooperation with a client, a small payment institution, providing payment services including issuing of credit cards and providing payment credit to consumers, we represent the client in the proceedings for obtaining a license to provide payment services as a national payment institution.
